Doctor Who - Lenticular Animated Chess Set
Lenticular printing is a technology in which a lenticular lens is used to produce images with an illusion of depth or the ability to change or move as the image is viewed from different angles.but has evolved in recent years to show more motion and increased depth. Technology for making Lenticular images or "wiggle pictures" as it is commonly called, was created in the 1940s. Recent advances in large-format presses have allowed for oversized lenses to be used in lithographic lenticular printing. (Source: Wikipedia).
A lenticular animated chess set - Fantastic! This chess set includes 32 detailed Doctor Who characters captured in 3D lenticular images, visible from both sides; bringing some of the most beloved Doctor Who heroes from series 5 (Amy Pond, Rory Williams, River Song and of course, the 11th Doctor) and villains (such as the Weeping Angels, Daleks, Cybermen, Smilers) into animated life. Simply tilt the chess piece back and forth and the characters appear to move!
It's a game of attack, check, double check, domination and sudden death. Great for Whovians and chess fans alike. Question is - WHO will win and WHO will be exterminated???
